10 Effective Homemade Shampoo Recipes for Beautiful Hair

These are some of the best and easy homemade shampoo recipes:-

1). For Normal Hair.

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup distilled water.
  • 1/4 cup liquid Castile Soap- you have a choice between scented and unscented.
  • 1/2 teaspoon jojoba, grapeseed, or other light vegetable oil.

Mix together all the ingredients.  Store in a bottle.  Shake before use.

2). Awesome recipe to wake up your scalp and your senses. It’s so refreshing!

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup distilled water.
  • 1/4 cup liquid Castile Soap.
  • 2 tsp jojoba oil.
  • 1/8 tsp peppermint essential oil.
  • 1/8 tsp tea tree essential oil.
  • Flip Cap Bottles.

Mix all the ingredients and then add 1/4 cup distilled water. Use likes any other shampoo, rinse well.

3). Hair Loss Castile Shampoo.

Ingredients:

  • 6oz liquid castile soap.
  • 5drops rosemary essential oil.
  • 3drops tea tree essential oil.

Mix together all the ingredients and store in a bottle. Use and rinse.

4). Simple Shampoo Recipe

 Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup water.
  • 1/4 cup liquid Castile Soap.
  • 1/2 teaspoon sunflower or other light vegetable oil.

Mix together all the ingredients. Store in a bottle. Apply onto wet hair and scalp, massage into lather and rinse thoroughly.

 

5). Chamomile Shampoo: Great for blondes to brighten light hair.

Ingredients:

  • 4 bags of Chamomile tea.
  • 4 tablespoons pure soap flakes.
  • 1 ½ tablespoons glycerin.

Dip the tea bags in 1 1/2 cups of boiled water for 20 minutes. Remove the tea bags and discard. Add the soap flakes to the tea and let stand until the soap softens. Stir in glycerin until well blended. Keep in a dark, cool place in a sealed bottle.

 

6). To get rid of a flaky scalp, try this simple recipe:

Ingredients:

  • ¼ cup distilled water.
  • 1/4 cup liquid Castile Soap.
  • 1/2 teaspoon jojoba, grapeseed, or other light vegetable oil.
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar.
  • 3 tablespoons apple juice.
  • 6 finely ground cloves.

Grind all these ingredients in a grinder. Wet the hair with warm water and apply the shampoo on your scalp.

 

7).   I just could not resist myself from adding this one to my list:-

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup distilled water.
  • 1/4 cup liquid Castile Soap.
  • 2 tsp Jojoba oil.
  • 10 drops Vanilla essential oil.
  • 10 drops Coconut fragrance oil.

Mix together all the ingredients. Store in a bottle. Use as you would use any other shampoo, rinse well. This one smells so good!

 

8). Try this recipe to add sparkling shine to your hair.

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup distilled water.
  • 1/4 cup liquid Castile Soap.
  • 2 Tbsp dried Rosemary.
  • 2 Tbsp sweet Almond oil.
  • 1/4 Tbsp Lemon extract.

Boil distilled water, add rosemary to it. Strain leaves and lets it cool. Mix all ingredients and add to water and stir well.

 

9). Itch reliever Castile shampoo.

Ingredients:

  • 3oz liquid castile soap.
  • 1 tbsp Stinging Nettles (a herb).
  • 1 tbsp Lavender.
  • 1 cup distilled water.

Put the herbs and water in a pan for thirty minutes, strain and allow cooling. Mix the remaining ingredients and then bottle.

 

10). Dark hair enhancing Castile shampoo:

Ingredients:

  • 3oz liquid Castile soap.
  • 1 tbsp Sage.
  • 1 tbsp Rosemary.
  • 2 black tea bags.
  • ½ teaspoon Olive Oil.

Dip the tea bags in water and bring to a boil. Add other ingredients, bottle. Wet your hair, apply and rinse.

Try and inculcate these recipes in your routine, and believe me, you will get to have superlative results. These will help to cure the damage done to you by those harmful chemical shampoos.
