DIY Face Mask Scientifically Proven To Be Beneficial and Effective

07/07/2021 //  by Dima Al Mahsiri//  1 Comment

The world we live in is filled with healthful natural ingredients, and people have been using them to make cosmetic treatments, lotions, serums, and more for hundreds of years.

Face masks have become a popular approach to treat a variety of skin problems, but many of them include chemicals and other harmful ingredients.

Making your mask at home can save you time and money, plus it can give you relief because you know specifically what sort of ingredients are being used on your face. Creating your facial mask and making it with all-natural ingredients can be safer than the ones you buy at the drug store. Another added benefit? You can tailor them to your preference and skin type!

In the infographic below, The Derm Review has created a flow chart to help you decide which mask is best for you. Then you may make them on your own by following the instructions!

Here are some examples of the masks you can make:

  • Soothing Aloe Vera Mask
  • This will exfoliate, moisturize and clarify to achieve radiant, gleaming skin as a result.
  • Best for dull stressed, or inflamed skin.
  • Hydrating Honey Mask
  • This can calm, rejuvenate, and soothe the skin while leaving it smooth and supple.
  • Best for dry and irritated skin.
  • Calming Turmeric Mask
  • Turmeric is a fascinating spice that has been used for centuries for both beauty and medicinal ideas.
  • Best to fight the bacteria that contribute to acne.
  • Rejuvenation Cocoa Mask
  • Cocoa powder is a gentle exfoliant, leaving your skin extra soft, and the caffeine and theobromine help drain fatty cells, which firms your skin and reduces puffiness.
  • Best to reduce wrinkles, heal damaged skin, renew skin cells and fight free radicals.
  • Papaya Pigment Restoration Mask
  • This mask uses plant components and beta carotene to enhance the beauty and complexion of your skin.
  • Best for uneven skin tone, sun or age spots, hyperpigmentation, and even scar treatment.
  • Impurity-Fighting Clay Mask
  • This one can lessen skin infections, and pimples as the components in the clay eliminate impurities from the skin.
  • Best For oily skin and acne-prone skin.

There’s a natural mask for everyone, whether you want to brighten your skin, increase moisture, reduce wrinkles, or cure acne. Even better, you’ll probably be able to make it using ingredients you already have.

Take note that despite all of these face masks being created with all-natural ingredients; sometimes we will experience some allergic reactions. Do a patch test on the inside of your elbow for at least 24 hours and see if you have an allergic reaction to it before trying to get a remedy for any kind of skin disease.

Congrats! Now you can forgo high-end cosmetics and create your very own facial masks. It’s healthier, cheaper, and more natural, plus it works just as well!
