InstaNatural Eye Gel, Serum & Retinol Moisturizer Review

09/03/2015 //  by Dima Al Mahsiri//  2 Comments

InstaNatural review

Are you looking for skincare products that work? Me, too! Well, I try to choose wisely, and read as much as I could. Many products out there promise to erase those wrinkles FOREVER. I have been thinking about that, do they really work? Well, I needed to find an answer for my question, and here is my story!

This time, I received three products from InstaNatural for review; an eye serum, eye gel, and retinol moisturizer.

I used them for a full month, twice daily as recommended. While using too many products is not something that I enjoy doing, I still had some fun applying them and watching how they affected my fine lines, breakouts, dark spots, and large pores.

And here is what I found…..

InstaNatural Youth Express Eye Serum

According to Insta-Natural, this serum targets dark circles, puffiness, and wrinkles. It contains vitamin C along with caffeine, making it a good option for the area under the eyes. It has a citrus scent, and thick consistency that makes it easy to apply. You only need two drops, so this serum goes for long.

Full ingredients include:

Deionized Water, Organic Aloe Vera, Vitamin C (Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate), Botanical Hyaluronic Acid, Matrixyl 3000, Palmitoyl Triepeptide-3, Plant Stem Cells, Vitamin E (d-Alpha Tocopheryl Acetate), Pink Grapefruit Essential Oil, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, (2s)-2-Amino-5-guanidinopentanoic Acid, Undaria Pinnatifida Cell Culture Extract, Astaxanthin (Haematococcus Pluvialis Extract), Vitamin B3 (Niacinamide), Wildcrafted Reishi, Organic Passionflower, Caffeine, Organic Gotu Kola, Wildcrafted Horsetail, Wildcrafted Dandelion, Wild Geranium, Sucrose Stearate, Polyglyceryl-10 Laurate, Lecithin, Ethylhexyl Glycerin, Phenoxyethanol

InstaNatural Youth Express Eye Gel

According to Insta-Natural website, InstaNatural eye gel:

“is enriched with Plant Stem Cells, Hyaluronic Acid, Matrixyl 3000, Vitamin E and Jojoba Oil to help with dark circles, puffiness and sagging skin. This blend of powerful ingredients increases elasticity and enhances the tone of your skin to provide a firm, plump appearance.

  • Provides ultimate care and protection to eye area
  • Goes on gently and is safe for all skin types
  • Reduces appearance of puffiness and dark circles around eyes
  • Contains organic ingredients and is 100% natural”

Once applied, I feel my skin firmer thanks to Matrixyl 3000, it has a gel consistency with mild cucumber scent that does not last long. One pump is fair enough for both eyes, dab gently and you are done!

Full ingredients list include:

Organic Herbal Infusion, Organic Aloe, Matrixyl 3000, Palmitoyl Triepeptide-3, Kosher Vegetable Glycerin, Plant Stem Cells, Cucumber Hydrosol, Organic Jojoba Oil, Botanical Hyaluronic Acid, Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM), Hydroxyethyl Cellulose, Carrageenan Gum, Silk Amino Acid Blend (Sodium L-Pyrrolidone Carboxylate, Sodium Lactate, L’Arginine, L-Aspartic Acid, L-Pyrrolidonecarboxylic Acid, Glycine, L-Alanine, L-Serine, L-Valine, L-Proline, L-threonine, L-Isoleucine, L-Histidine, L-Phenylalanine), Wildcrafted Vinca Major (Periwinkle), Organic Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice), Wildcrafted Euphrasia Officinalis (Eye Bright), Wildcrafted Ganoderma Lucidum (Reishi), Organic Gotu Kola, Boswellia Serrata (Frankincense), Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, Ethyl Hexyl Glycerin

InstaNatural Advanced Action Retinol Moisturizer

Collagen is what keeps your skin firm and elastic. And if you already have fine lines, you should consider looking for products that promote the production of collagen. Early 30’s, in my opinion, is the best time to add retinol to your skincare regimen. InstaNatural Retinol moisturizer contains 2.5% retinol, along with vitamin C and my favorite; hyaluronic acid.

In addition to 2.5% retinol, it contains Organic Aloe Vera, Organic Sunflower Oil, Retinol, Palm Oil, Glyceryl Stearate, Cetyl Alcohol, Stearic Acid, Vitamin C (Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate), Botanical Hyaluronic Acid, Organic Jojoba Oil, Kosher Vegetable Glycerin, Shea Butter, Wildcrafted Green Tea, Wildcrafted Propolis, Vitamin E (d-Alpha Tocopheryl Acetate), Vitamin B5 (Panthenol), Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexyl Glycerin, Xanthan Gum, Citric Acid

I used this retinol moisturizer twice daily, it did not irritate my skin. Just make sure to test on a small portion of your skin; to make sure it does not irritate your skin.

My Overall Experience

Insta-Natural Youth Express Eye Serum

This serum helped reduce the appearance of puffy, tired-looking eyes when waking up in the morning. I also noticed that dark circles around my eyes have lightened after about 3 weeks of using this serum (along with their eye gel). In addition, it kept the area under my eyes moisturized. Unlike mentioned on their website, my skin did not absorb it quickly. I like that it is free of parabens, sulfates, and alcohol.

Insta-Natural Youth Express Eye Gel

Though they call it “Youthful Express”, it need time to show results, but once you start to see improvements in the eye area, you will love this gel. I like how it makes the skin in the eye area firmer, making it a good option for sagging skin. It also lightened dark circles under my eyes a little bit. This large (1.7 oz) is effective, and affordable.

InstaNatural Advanced Action Retinol Moisturizer

InstaNatural Retinol moisturizer helps moisturizing my skin all day long. Since it leaves my t-zone area a bit oily, I think it will work best for normal to dry skin (mine is combination skin). So, I think I will use it only at night in summer.

I liked how my skin looks more even toned, with fewer breakouts that it used to be. Once I switched from InstaNatural moisturizer to another product, pimples started to pop up once again!

When using it twice daily, it did not irritate my skin; just make sure you use a sunscreen every day. This huge airtight pump is perfect for giving my skin all it needs at a reasonable price, and I know it will take long before I need to buy a new one.

I am really satisfied with these products, though I did not notice reduction in my fine lines, but my skin looks smooth, even toned, with brighter looking eyes. You can find InstaNatural products on their website and on Amazon. They back their products with a 100% satisfaction guarantee policy.

*Though InstaNatural sent me this product via Brandbacker for review, all opinions are my own, and completely based on my own experience.

Which works better for old eyes. Gel or serum?

Each has its own job and benefits, Clare.
Serums are loaded with anti-oxidants, while gels are used to moisturize the skin around your eyes, so both are essential for the delicate skin around your eyes.
If you have to choose, I would say gels since gels contain anti-oxidants plus moisturizing ingredients.
