Does Regenepure Hair and Scalp Treatment Shampoo Work?

21/06/2015 //  by Dima Al Mahsiri//  2 Comments

What could be worse than itchy scalp?

I guess dandruff on your shoulders, don’t you think so?!

For years, my husband suffered from dandruff and itchy scalp. Sometimes it was very embarrassing to be wearing a formal suit at work with “snow” on his shoulders!

Dandruff has been a battle for years. Taking a daily shower, visiting several dermatologists, and even shaving ALL his hair off was helpful temporary, but not for long.

He tried Head & Shoulders, and CLEAR shampoos, both did not work for him.

When Regenepure offered their Hair and Scalp Treatment for review, I was curious whether it would work or not. I tried Regenepure Intense Volumizing Biotin Conditioner before, which is a great conditioner that gives volume for thin hair while conditioning it (read review here), so I decided to give the hair and scalp treatment a try.

You should remember that not all white flakes are called dandruff. Sometimes dry scalp is causing itching and flakes falling off your shoulders, and that is not dandruff.

Dry scalp causes include loss of moisture in the scalp, using harsh shampoos and soap, and hair products build up. To solve this problem, you can use a conditioner like Regenepure Intense Volumizing Biotin Conditioner; massage your hair with some oil like argan oil. You can also make your own moisturizing hair mask like these remedies that I mentioned in a previous post.

On the other hand, dandruff flakes are greasy and harder to remove from the scalp. Flakes are also larger than those caused by dry scalp. Dermatologists recommend medicated dandruff shampoo, which contains the ingredients selenium sulfide, zinc pyrithione, or ketoconazole.

Regenepure Hair and Scalp Treatment contains ketoconazole as the active ingredient along with some other ingredients including Saw Palmetto , Emu Oil, Niacin Vitamin B3, Caffeine, Vitamin B6, L-Pathenol , Linolenic Acid, Jojoba Oil, Zinc Oxide.

Now to the main question…..

Does Regenepure Hair and Scalp Treatment Work?

Regenepure Hair and Scalp Treatment does not have that gorgeous smell that some other shampoos have; it smells like spearmint, not bad, but not a great smell either. However, my husband was willing to try it out, hoping that it will get rid of dandruff and stop itching.

Regenepure Hair and Scalp Treatment Shampoo

As most sulfate free shampoos, it has a slight lather, and you need to leave it in for 3-5 minutes to get the best results.

Reading what Regenepure says about their shampoo:

” Sulfate Free Hair Loss Shampoo. Regenepure DR is a hair loss treatment shampoo suitable for men and women. Formulated with the richest & clinically proven ingredients to nourish your hair and scalp. Ketoconazole in Regenepure DR shampoo blocks the production of DHT, which plays a major role in hair loss.”

My husband did not notice any increase in hair growth. What he have noticed, and seen by me, is that it reduced dandruff significantly. I may say 70% less dandruff in one month. Though his hair is a bit dry, he can overcome that situation by using Regenepure Intense Volumizing Biotin Conditioner.

I recommend Regenepure DR Hair and Scalp Treatment for those who are suffering from dandruff, and who wants a deep cleanse for their scalp.  It is an excellent shampoo if you are looking for a product that removes all hair care products that build up on scalp.

I also like the fact that it is Sulfate free, and Paraben Free.

My husband did not notice any increase in hair growth, and I believe that hair supplements like biotin will work better for hair growth. Still, it works quite well as a dandruff treatment. You can shop Regenepure DR at Amazon and regenepure.com

*Though the brand sent me this product for review, all opinions are my own, and completely based on my own experience.

If our hair is oily, the glands blocked the scalp hole with dust, therefore causing scalp problem like dandruff, scalp psoriasis and the oily hair. Sometime it creates an uneasy situation for us. The other problem of oily hair is that sometime smell bed which is embarrassing for us.
