What Products Should You Use to Look After Your Skin

02/07/2023 //  by Dima Al Mahsiri//  Leave a Comment

Building a skincare routine and figuring out what works for you is not fun, and it is certainly not glamourous. Sometimes, the best skincare products for you are not the same as what works for that celebrity on the red carpet or your friend at work. It can be even harder to make a skincare regime if you are not sure what you are looking for or what you are doing. Fortunately, there is a simple solution to this. You just need to take some self-care time and work it out.

Here are a few ideas of products you can incorporate into your skincare routine.

A Cleanser

Cleansing oil

An important step that you must do is to take your makeup and wash your face before you begin placing any products on your skin. In order for the ingredients to absorb properly, you need to clean your skin thoroughly. You should do this both in the morning and in the evening. In order to do this right, you should skip your makeup wipes and go for a cleansing oil that will dissolve your makeup but leave your skin clean. Follow this up with a creamy soft cleanser. This will help not to irritate your skin.

Toners

These are historically terrible. When they first came to the market, they were alcohol-based liquids that burned your face. Fortunately, things have changed, and there are toners out there that are filled with gentle and hydrating ingredients and can treat your acne as well. These prime your face for ingredients to be better absorbed. This should be applied both in the morning and night, but if you can only choose one, then it should be in the morning before applying anything else but after your cleanser.

Serums

Serums are small shots of concentrated nutrients that act as hydration and antioxidants, which can ramp up your skin health care as soon as they touch your skin. Many people often don’t use them and skip out on this process, but they do a lot of heavy lifting in the skincare routine department. Whilst they are optional, they are a good way to begin leveling up your routine and helping your skin look healthier and happier. These are best applied in the morning, but you can also use them at night if you would like to boost your skin’s health.

Eye creams

These creams are usually thinner than a face moisturizer, and so you make sure to apply them before any creams and oils. All lighter products should be put on your skin before heavier ones. Eye creams are not needed by everyone. A usual moisturizer will often do the trick. However, if you are looking to boost your skin a little in the morning, then an eye cream loaded with caffeine will do the trick.

Looking after your skin

There are a lot of different products that you can try. The important thing to do is to find the ones you can incorporate easily so that you continue to follow your routine. Otherwise, you will spend a lot of money on things that only gather dust.
