GÖTZ BAD ISCHL Oxygen Facial Tonic Review

03/10/2016 //  by Dima Al Mahsiri//  Leave a Comment

Having a combination skin could be so hard to deal with, especially when it comes to choosing the right skincare products. For example, I need a cleanser that is good enough for removing extra oil on my forehead and nose areas, still, gentle on my dry cheeks and around my mouth areas.

Well, I managed to find a few good natural cleansers like Ao Prepare cleanser. I also found that retinol creams are best for dealing with acne, large pores, and wrinkles.

On the other hand, I used to avoid applying a tonic, especially those with an alcoholic base. Alcohol dries the skin, and may even irritate the skin, and that will force your skin to produce more oil, so it tends to become greasy fast. That is why I had to skip the tonic most of the time.

Moreover, to hide my large pores, I would apply a primer, and cover my enlarged pores with a foundation or a BB cream. This works, but I always prefer dealing with my skin problems rather than hiding them!

Why Should You Use a Toner?

A good toner replenishes your skin with what cleansers rinse or wipe away, so look for a toner that contains antioxidants, soothing agents, and hydrating ingredients. In addition, a toner helps to minimize the size of the pores, it also removes oil and traces of dirt and grime.

I have had the chance to try out a few toners that have proven to be of good quality, and today, I am adding an additional toner to my list from GÖTZ BAD ISCHL skincare.

GÖTZ BAD ISCHL is an Austrian skincare brand that offers organic products of 100% natural origin, vegan, containing only natural preservatives, and free of synthetic ingredients, parabens, and sulfates. Their products are never been tested on animals. In addition to toners, they also offer facial serum and facial mask.

What is GÖTZ BAD ISCHL Oxygen Facial Tonic?

GÖTZ BAD ISCHL Oxygen Facial Tonic (for oily, combination and blemished skin) is a natural toner that is designed for oily and combination skin, it promises that it will balance excessive oiliness, soothe redness and minimize the appearance of blemishes, blackheads, and enlarged pores.”

“Bad Ischl” spring water featured in this toner is rich in oxygen, and exotic mineral; thus named Oxygen facial tonic.

Here is a full list of the ingredients:

Aqua,Anthyllis Vulneraria Flower Extract,Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract,Tropaeolum Majus Flower/Leaf/Stem Extract,Humulus Lupulus (Hops) Extract,Edelweiss Hypericum Perforatum Flower/Leaf/Stem Extract,Salvia Officinalis (Sage) Flower,aesculus Hippocastanum Bark Extract,Echinacea Pallida Extract,Hamamelis Virginiana Bark/Leaf Extract,Bellis Perennis flower extract,parfum,Eucalyptus,Citriodora Oil,Geraniol Lactic Acid, Farnesol, Linalool.

Using this toner is simple; wipe gently after cleansing your skin. And if you are in a hurry, simply spray onto your face.

I have been using it for three weeks, in the morning and in the afternoon. So far, my skin is more radiant, less oily, with fewer breakouts. I noticed that the pores on my nose are minimized significantly, making my skin smoother.

Unlike some over the counter toners I had used, GÖTZ BAD ISCHL toner moisturizes my skin. However, my skin still needs a moisturizer afterward, but GÖTZ tonic does help add some moisture to my skin and it does not irritate or dry my skin, thanks to being alcohol-free.

I even used it immediately after waxing my face, and I was impressed by how this toner calmed my skin in just a few minutes!

The only downside for this toner is the way it smells; it has some kind of an herbal scent. However, the good news is that the smell vanishes quickly after applying my Super Facialist moisturizer by Una Brennan, which has a light citrus scent.

I really liked the way it leaves my skin soft, and the way it helps control sebum production during the day, the air-tight pump makes it easy to use and get the right amount of the product, but I only wish that the package was made of dark colored glass, so as to maintain the benefits of the anti-oxidants.

I would recommend GÖTZ BAD ISCHL Oxygen Facial Tonic for those having oily skin. Nevertheless, If you have sensitive or dry skin, there is also the GÖTZ BAD ISCHL Oxygen Facial Tonic for (Dry/Sensitive skin), check it out here.
