Those of you who have been following my blog for a while know that I usually publish my posts on Monday, but I have been quite lazy lately. Well, not exactly, the truth is that I have been busy helping my sister plan for her wedding reception; my sister is going to marry soon!
As far as I am extremely happy for her, I feel sad because she is going to live far away from home as she is going to live in London.
The wedding reception will be in London, and I am honored to be the bridesmaid!
Talking about wedding receptions, I thought it would be a good idea to share with you some of what we learned all through our experience.

Seat covers are extremely expensive to make and to rent, especially if you have a large guest list. Rather than using seat covers, purchase some wide ribbon to tie on the back of the reception chairs. This is an affordable option when compared to the fancier seat covers.
If you are having an outdoor reception, you should consider adding a water fountain to the décor. However, you can also implement these inside, simply choose a smaller water feature that is able to sit on a table. The flowing will add an element of elegance and relaxation and offers an affordable price tag.

I had never thought about using food as decorations. I can see why this would help save money and provide a creative layout. I'll have to keep this in mind during my wedding reception.
It makes sense that you would want to choose the right location for your wedding. I think a good place to start is what theme you want. There are plenty of venues that work for pretty much any theme!

Thank you for all these fantastic tips to decorating a wedding hall! One thing that I really liked is that you say to purchase some ribbons for the backs of chairs. I think that different colors could really makes the chairs pop. Now you just need to find the right hall.

My little sister recently go engaged, and being the older sister, I will be doing most of the planning. First we need to find a venue, and once we do that, I will be in charge of all of the decorations. Obviously it depends on the venue, but I think these are some great ideas!
