#1 Vinegar Foot Soak

Vinegar, if used correctly, can soften the feet, thereby removing the dry and dead skin underneath. It has acetic acid that does the job, but you have to dilute it before use, otherwise, it could worsen the case.

Ingredients

  • Water
  • 1/4 cup of white vinegar

What to do?

  1. Mix ingredients.
  2. Soak your feet for 5-10 minutes.
  3. Scrub gently.
  4. Dry your feet.
  5. Apply coconut oil or shea butter.
  6. Repeat the process three times a week for a more consistent outcome.

#2 Listerine Foot Soak

Soaking your feet in Listerine will soften and loosen the dead skin accumulating on your heels. Listerine has an antiseptic composition such as thymol which heals the heels’ tissues.

Ingredients

  • A bowl.
  • 1 cup of Listerine.
  • 2 cups of water
  • 1 cup of white vinegar.

What to do?

Soak your feet in it for 15 minutes, then rinse and dry.

#3 Baking Soda Foot Soak

Baking Soda soothes the dry skin and reduces inflammation. You will need 3 tablespoons of baking soda mixed with water in a large bowl. Since baking soda has the tendency to dry out, you should apply a moisturizer immediately after the process.

 

#4 Peroxide Foot Soak

Hydrogen peroxide will remove dead skin tissue so the heels can heal quickly.

Ingredients

  • Lukewarm water.
  • 2 cups of peroxide.

What to do?

Soak your feet for 30 minutes while scrubbing gently with a pumice stone. This procedure is only for cracks that are not bleeding or wounded.

 

#5 Honey and Milk Foot Moisturizer

Milk is rich in vitamin A and calcium, which helps repair and rebuild damaged skin. Honey helps to seal moisture into the skin while also fighting bacteria that could cause infection.

  • 1 cup honey (organic)
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons milk

  2. Soak your feet in warm water for 20 minutes.
  3. Use a pumice stone to gently scrub your feet

  5. Apply a thick layer of this remedy to your feet and let it sit for about 30 munites.

#6 Pumice Stone

Pumice stone is a small block of lightweight, hardened lava foam, used for scraping off accumulated dead skin.

You always have to soak your feet before using a pumice stone, 10 minutes would be fine. Apply a think moisturizer afterward.

 

#7 Salt and Essential Oil Scrub
