7 Habits That Are Destroying Your Beauty

28/02/2018 //  by Dima Al Mahsiri//  Leave a Comment

If you are worried about your appearance, then you have landed on the right page. We do several things to look pretty, from using makeup to even going under the knife, but do you also sit and think what causes you to look unattractive in the first place?

There are several things that you do on a regular basis that can add years to your look and make you look unattractive. Just by bidding adieu to such habits, you can look younger and better.

Here are the seven habits that are destroying your beauty:

#1 Eating Unhealthy Foods

You are what you eat. The food you eat plays a significant role in your life.

For example, if you eat many fatty foods and do not burn enough calories, you will soon gain weight. Weight gain is among one of our most significant problems these days as it can lead to various health issues.

Being fat or obese puts you at a higher risk of heart diseases and other such severe conditions. Other than this, it also affects your look as you may not be able to dress up well due to being overweight, so make sure to keep an eye on what you eat and avoid unhealthy foods such as fried and sugary foods.

Make sure to consume a balanced diet so that your body gets all the nutrients that it needs and there is no deficiency.

There is a long list of healthy foods that you could include in your diet. These include healthy fats like olive oil and coconut oil. Vegetables and fruits are also essentials to provide your body with fibers and vitamins.

Remember that even you could apply vitamin C serum to your skin, it is also essential to include this vital vitamin in your diet for fighting free radicals and improving your skin texture and elasticity.

#2 Taking Drugs

Drugs damage our body in a very serious way. You get used to a certain drug that prevents you from enjoying life to the fullest, and this begins to show on your face as well.

You can look at a drug addict and tell about their condition based on how they appear. If you or someone close to you is addicted to any drug, then it is vital that you get drug treatment information and overcome your addiction.

#3 Drinking Alcohol

Alcohol is a socially acceptable drink by adults all around the US, but overconsumption of alcohol can have serious effects on your appearance and health.

You can quickly get addicted to alcohol that results in weight loss and weakness. Other than this, it can also lead to issues with the heart, kidney, and liver.

Many rehab centers are working on helping people get over their alcohol addiction, which is among the most common addictions in the world.

#4 Smoking

cigarette-smoking

Smoking is the #1 cause of cancer around the world. It can ruin your look by staining your teeth and making your lips look dead and purple.

Other than this, smoking can also cause you have dark circles and result in premature aging.

If you want to quit smoking, premature wrinkles is a good reason for doing so.

How does smoking lead to wrinkles?

Cigarettes contain nicotine as well as other dangers components, which causes narrowing of the blood vessels. This will weaken blood flow to your skin, so your skin cells will not get as much oxygen and nutrients as it needs.

The more than 4,000 chemicals in tobacco could damage the collagen and elastin that makes your skin look young.

It worth re-thinking this bad habit, does not it?

#5 Using Poor Quality Beauty Products

Make sure to buy high-quality products that are chemical free and have no side effects so that you do not end up with side effects such as pimples and scars.

Poor quality products can ruin your skin and make you look unattractive. While you do not have to run after brands, you still need to be careful about the products you use.

Being labeled “organic” or “natural” does not guarantee that it is good for your skin. Make sure you read the ingredients’ list before purchasing. Good basic knowledge of what could harm your skin will save your health, and your money, too.

#6 Worrying a Lot

This may sound funny to some, but worrying can make you look older. Worrying is linked to aging as it causes you to frown, which leave wrinkles and marks on your skin and make you look older.

#7 Not Sleeping Enough

Make sure to have your beauty sleep for seven to eight hours per day to look fresh and beautiful. A lack of sleep can cause dark circles and make you appear tired and unattractive so make sure to have a peaceful, uninterrupted sleep every night.

Looking after your beauty is not a complicated process. What is right for your body is also good for your skin. So make sure you take good care of your whole body, physically and mentally, and your skin will become naturally beautiful.

Beautiful skin requires commitment, not a miracle!
