What is your Skin Eating? ( Infographic )

07/05/2014 //  by Dima Al Mahsiri//  2 Comments

We all know that our skin is the largest organ in our body. And its most important job is to protect our  body from all environmental factors that would hurt it. Therefore, it is our duty to take a good care of our number one defense line against our bodies enemies.

I have found this Infographic, which was published by Daily Infographic, and I would love to share these facts with you:

  • Our skin absorbs 60% of any product we use.
  • The average woman wears about 515 chemicals per day!
  • There are several chemicals that are classified as dangerous to our health, but still used in our beauty products!

The Infographic advice consumers to choose products that are free of toxins, synthetic preservations and artificial fragrance. Therefore, I believe that natural ingredients for cleaning, moisturizing and exfoliating your skin like yogurt and honey are much healthier and less  harmful for your skin. And even if you have to buy beauty products, make sure they are free of harsh chemicals. Chemicals like parabens, formaldehyde, and lead, have been proven to cause more harm than good. So make sure to choose wisely!

I leave you with the Infographic,

Take care.
